A wave of strings!

Besides being a performing musician, Jolente De Maeyer is committed to training young talent. She teaches violin at the conservatoires of Antwerp and Tilburg and gives masterclasses in Belgium and abroad. She is also very invested into VIVA, a project she developed together with the youth (string) orchestra JOWest: workshops in academies and primary schools, summer courses and a festive weekend during which the players make music together and perform for family and friends.

A unique experience that gives the young musicians an extra dose of motivation and, through making music together, teaches them important values, not only in musical but also in human terms. In silent hope that a new wave of strings will roll out of this breeding ground.
